Does biotechnology offer a solution?
Peace Nganwa at the African Wind calls attention to the fact that African agricultural producers will not be able to operate on a subsistence basis into the foreseeable future. Biotechnology is presented as a component of a combined policy solution for Africa’s agricultural problems. Peace states that biotechnology should be supported in order to promote a thriving, stable agricultural market that utilizes agriculture as an important vehicle to eradicate poverty and drive development.
